movie: marley and me (2008)

maybe it’s just me but really, this movie didn’t only make me teary-eyed. it literally made me cry in the end when it was time to let go. and now my colds’ worse. anyway, it would be unfair if i’ll post about what happened in the film so i’ll just leave a teaser for those who haven’t seen it yet.

it stars jennifer aniston (my favorite FRIENDS character because of her hair) and the cutie owen wilson. the story is based on a debut bestseller of the same title by john grogan. on a personal perspective, there’s so much to learn in this film. it’s not about loving your pets or using them to attract girls. it’s not about marley being a man’s best friend because in fact he’s the WORST dog in whole universe, i didn’t even like him while he’s growing up.

settling down to have a family, parenthood, friends, career, personal growth, and romance. those are where the movie revolved around and it’s just great. you’d wish you belong to a relationship with that kind of sweet, understanding wife and/or a patient, responsible husband. i recommend this film to couples and pet lovers. i don’t even want to start with what i hated about marley. just go see for yourself. but honestly, i can relate to the dog’s behavior because i’m guilty of being very unloveable at times too and yet He never gets rid of me no matter what, and so do my friends and family. but we all have good sides, or at least we’re trying to change our ways. and if i totally abhored marley, i wouldn’t be moved to tears.

here’s the link for the movie’s official website where you can see the preview and some other goodies: MARLEY and ME.

and of course, here’s my favorite script from the film:

john: what i’m trying to say is that our life is here, and i’m OK with that.

jenny: our life is wherever we are, that’s it.

happy viewing!
