SUSAN BOYLE rocks!
i just finished watching the video coverage of susan boyle’s performance for the BRITAIN’S GOT TALENT 2009 audition where she sang I DREAMED A DREAM from les miserables (a challenging song). her first few notes summoned my goosebumps! i could listen to her voice over and over!
and not only i was touched by her performance. i was also amazed with her life story at 47 (almost 48 years old), she’s never been married and spent most of her life taking care of her mother who passed away 2 years ago. susan dreams of becoming a professional singer and this chance to sing and be heard all over the world is a dream come true. read more information and watch her videos in susan boyle’s fan site.
so yeah, there’s no such thing as TOO LATE. let susan boyle serve as an inspiration to everyone. i can only give you the link to her videos for now: SUSAN BOYLE’S AUDITION
and here’s the lyrics of the song i’ve been trying to sing since i heard it from susan ;)
I DREAMED A DREAM
from les miserables
I dreamed a dream in time gone by
When hope was high,
And life worth living
I dreamed that love would never die
I dreamed that God would be forgiving.
Then I was young and unafraid
When dreams were made and used,
And wasted
There was no ransom to be paid
No song unsung,
No wine untasted.
But the tigers come at night
With their voices soft as thunder
As they tear your hopes apart
As they turn your dreams to shame.
And still I dream he’ll come to me
And we will live our lives together
But there are dreams that cannot be
And there are storms
We cannot weather…
I had a dream my life would be
So different from this hell I’m living
So different now from what it seems
Now life has killed
The dream I dreamed.
