trees and music
who doesn’t like music? everybody and everything everywhere can make it. i’ve once read a wonderful story about God’s opus that keeps playing over and over within us – the heartbeat. hence, our love for music.
i love trees too but i don’t remember ever climbing one. i just love looking at them, running around, sitting down by them, naming and carving them. i also enjoyed reading folk stories involving them like juan tamad’s and other legends when i was little. and today while doing a research, i found out what some of them symbolize:
apple trees – immortality, youth, magic, beauty and happiness
beech trees - tolerance and past knowledge
cedar trees – healing, cleansing and protection
elm trees – intuition and courage
hazel trees – hidden wisdom
maple trees – balance and practicality
palm trees – peace and opportunity
willow trees – healing, inner vision and dreams
anyway, here is my prepared list of 10 beautiful songs (with youtube links so you may listen to them) that either mentioned TREES on them or made them the subject matter (symbolism) within the lyrics. i swear, these are all worth listening to. so enjoy!

WOW i did not know about the trees and that they had meanings. Very interesting :)
