unique gift ideas for animal or pet lovers
i think the easiest people to give presents to are pet lovers. why? they seem to be the most patient, understanding, friendly, gentle, responsible, and compassionate people around who finds joy in little things. i know a few who spend more for their pets than themselves just because they feel the need to do so. and that, i find very kind of them and weird sometimes.
ok, enough of the heart-warming praises for them. here are some gift ideas that our animal lover friends would love to receive not only for christmas but for all occasions:
1. a hamper full of pet goodies, toys or food. yummmm!
2. a decorative piece such as figurines, an outdoor welcome sign, door mat, or even animal-shaped pillows or an animal-themed shirt declaring their love for animals, etc.
3. a full year subscription of an animal magazine. or maybe an informational book about their best buddy.
4. spa or grooming gift certificate. not only humans would love an extreme makeover for the holidays!
5. a classic movie about pets on DVD or blu-ray such as free willy, homeward bound, babe, the truth about cats and dogs, etc.
6. something wearable like pet bells, leather collars, pet coats or jackets, a new safety harness, etc. for horse owners, check out these english saddles.
7. hand-painted pet portrait. if it’s hard for you to find a “da vinci” or a “michael angelo” to do so, then take the photo to a digital artist and have them make magic to it in no time.
8. other personalized items either with their pet’s photo or name on it such as mugs, frames, calendars, stationery, t-shirt, key chains, mouse pads, laptop skins, etc.
9. pet ID tags. have their pet’s name engraved on front, and owner’s name at the back.
10. first aid kit. doesn’t matter what type of animal they own. all of them needs this, even humans :)

I was just wondering if you’d know where I can find metal pet ID tags that I can have engraved. I used to get these at Metazza in SM Southmall but they closed shop about two years ago. I’m desperate for a new tag as I have a cute 5-month-old puppy now whom I’d like to have a tag for herself. Thanks!

thanks winnie! i love puppies! anyway, there is a metaza stall at the ground floor of SM north edsa. you may also try to inquire at unisilver, silverworks or any jewelry shops because most of them offer engraving services too. regards to your new baby!

My office is near SM North EDSA (yap, I live in Las Pinas and work in Quezon City… it’s crazy, i know!)
I’ll definitely go there within the next two weeks to have my sweet Tonya’s pet ID tag made.
